Waxing/Sugaring
WAXING/SUGARING
WAXING
Waxing is a quick and efficient method to remove large amounts of hair at one time, which lasts for 3-6 weeks.
The best-known benefit of waxing is that the hair doesn’t grow back very quickly.
Waxing removes the hairs from the root. With shaving, the hairs are cut off close to skin level. This means that when the hair regenerates and grows back, it does so with a finely tapered end. This end is finer and not stubbly, meaning that even whilst waiting for your next wax, your skin won’t feel as hairy as it would do post-shaving.
The result is that the waxed area is smooth, radiant, clean and fresh. No post-shower stubble or missed areas!
We offer waxing for the upper lip, eyebrows, chin, underarms and arms, as well as legs and bikini.
SUGARING
Sugaring, a form of hair removal that dates back to ancient Egypt, uses a sugar paste consisting of sugar, lemon, and water to extract hair from the root.
It involves using a paste, which is made up of a combination of sugar, lemon juice and water.
Unlike waxing, sugaring removes hair by the root and in the direction of hair growth so you’re looking at less breakage, irritation and overall pain. Additionally, sugar’s small molecule size is able to remove fine hair as short as 1/8 inch (7-10 days growth.)
Sugaring is a slightly less painful version of waxing.
Both hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic, sugar is perfect for the most sensitive skin. Most clients find less redness immediately after the service, with little to no irritation or ingrown hairs in the weeks following.
Results typically last anywhere from two to four weeks, however, that can depend upon an individual’s hair growth cycles, the part of the body it was done on and hormonal and genetic influences.
It’s safe to do sugaring on any part of the body.
It’s a hydrating and exfoliating skin care resulting in extra smooth and soft skin
